I love you.   No one has said those words to me in almost two decades.   That's a long time to go without love.   I love you.   He says it every time we talk and I will never, ever tire of hearing it.   I can't even begin to describe how much he has changed my world.   I was finally wearing down, it was all getting to me.  Now, I'm coming back to life.   My body is stronger, my mind is sharper, I'm always smiling.

A couple of days ago we were talking about going backpacking in the Rockies.   I always wanted to do something like that, but I always figured I'd be doing it alone.  I'm a strong, independent woman and I have no problem going on adventures alone, I've always been able to handle anything and everything that comes up.   I've never needed a big, strong man to take care of me.   Having said that, I LOVE the idea of having a big strong man to take care of me.    And to take care of.   Even more than having someone to love me, I have someone to love.  I LOVE having someone to love.  I'm happiest when I have someone to love, to care for, to comfort, to fuss over, to make happy.   And I DO love him!   I love his values.    I love his attitude, his outlook, his taste in movies.  I love his whimsical nature, his sense of humor, and definitely his sense of adventure!!!   It's so exciting to be with someone who enjoys adventure as much as I do!!!!

I told myself for years I could live without love.  I never, ever believed that it would come into my life.   Not the real thing.  But somehow I managed to find it, and I wasn't even looking.
